ATHENA – Association for Education and Development of Women. Ostrava.
Non-profit citizen association for the all-round support of women and for the implementation of equal opportunities for women/men. Training, consultancy and preparation of e-learning courses for the self-learning of women, trainers and teachers. Development of learning materials for nurses in Multiculturalism and collaboration with doctors from smaller hospitals in Silesia, prevailingly the rural area in the North-East corner of Czech Republic. ATHENA is specialised in coaching of women, guidance for the self-directed learning with interactive on-line courses for the vocational training of women. Experience from the coordination of projects Leonardo, Socrates, ESF and EQUAL.

Institute of Women is the biggest complex and unique project for women in area of education, gender and monitoring of development of equal opportunities in the Czech republic. The purpose of this new non-governmental organization is to provide the chance of development, motivation, self-determination and contentment for women. It brings new process and innovation methods of education to the Czech republic. They are:
1. Mentoring – clear form of mentoring
2. Education based on experience
Education courses are created by the experts who have been working in education and development of women several years and who also have foreign experiences. The number of experts is about 10.
