Associazione Equilibrio, was born in 1996 as the first Italian Association developing and using cooperative conflict resolution methods as cooperative negotiation and mediation for the preservation of relationships. Equilibrio develops organizational, commercial and social mediation plans. It support the professionals and organizations for the creation of mediation and conflict resolution services and training (and training of trainers) in transversal competences (empathy, communication, creativity negotiation, mood management, mediation, gender, ecc.) and cooperative management conflict for workers and professionals, also trough the ICT.

Associazione Equilibrio signed a convention with University of Bologna, Faculty of Scienze della Formazione; University of Florence, with reference to internships for the students of the Specialization Course in “Procedure Stragiudiziali di Risoluzione delle Controversie” (Extra-judicial Dispute Resolution Procedures); Cattolica University of Milan, with reference to internships for the students of the Master in “Mediazione Familiare e di Comunità” (Family and Community Mediation); University of Bergamo, with reference to internships for the students of the specialized course in Family and Social Mediation.
